Katie Caceres (she/her), Parliamentarian

Katie Caceres fell in love with urban planning, student organizing, and the mechanics of building sustainable organizations/systems during her undergrad at UC Davis, where she earned a B.S. in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning, and a minor in Community and Regional Development.

Youth and student activism has always been at the core of Katie’s work. She was first drawn into advocacy when she helped her undercover Gay-Straight Alliance gain legitimate club status at her Catholic high school in San Francisco, and in setting up educational/discussion spaces for students and faculty during the 2020 anti-racism movement.

She then joined the Davis College Democrats, where she was elected the Director of Finance and strived to reduce financial barriers to youth political participation. As the Organizing Manager for the Student Homes Coalition, she now works to activate and mentor students on how to advocate for themselves on the state and local level, to end the student housing crisis in California.

Outside of advocacy, Katie enjoys arts and crafts, tinkering with spreadsheets, and playing D&D or another TTRPG/board game with friends.
